Tom Troscianko Memorial Award
It is a pleasure to announce that once again the AVA and ECVP committee will be collaborating to offer the Tom Troscianko award to adventurous early-career scientists attending ECVP. The award will be for up to 2400 € and should cover travel, registration, and other eligible costs to attend ECVP, including an additional visit to (at least) one other location for scientific purposes, with an emphasis on adventure!

If the winning candidate indicates a preference for giving a talk (on submitting their abstract to ECVP), that request will be honoured.

Student Poster Awards
At ECVP 2025 we will announce one poster award each day of the conference, generously offered by our sponsor PeerJ. The poster award includes a free publication in any of PeerJ’s journals, and a feature about the winner’s research on the PeerJ blog.
The winners will be notified in the late afternoon and announced to all ECVP attendees via email at the end of each day. Award certificates will be presented at the ECVP business meeting on August 28th.
Student Travel Awards
Applications are closed! We are delighted that we can support a total of 25 students and early-career researchers with the Student Travel Award. Congratulations to the recipients!
Successful applicants are expected to book prior to the early bird deadline (April 6th 2025) and to attend the conference in person (otherwise funding will be re-allocated).
